Anesthesia is a condition of temporary loss of sensation that is induced for medical purposes like surgery and other procedures for preventing pain and discomfort. The medicines used for Anesthesia are called anesthetics. Anesthetics may be given by injection, inhalation, eye drops, skin patch, topical lotion, and spray.
