Schedule H1 Drugs
Schedule H1 has been introduced through Gazette notification GSR 588 (E) dated 30-08-2013 to check the indiscriminate use of antibiotics, anti-Tuberculosis, and some other drugs in India.
As per the government notification, drugs included in Schedule H1 are required to be sold in the country with the following conditions: The supply of medicine specified in Schedule H1 shall be recorded at the time of supply in a separate register indicating the name and address of the prescriber, name of the patient and name of the medicine and quantity supplied and such record shall be maintained for three years and will be open for inspection. The medicine specified in Schedule H1 shall be labeled with the symbol RX which shall be in red color and remarkable displayed on the left top corner of the label, and shall also be labeled with the following words in a red-bordered box.
