जब अवनी की दोस्त को टाइफाइड हो गया
Avni and Riya had been friends since childhood. They had grown up together and shared everything from their secrets to their dreams. So, when Riya got sick, Avni was devastated.
Riya had been complaining of feeling tired and weak for a few days, but they had both assumed it was just the flu. However, when her fever didn’t go down and she started having stomach pains, they decided it was time to see a doctor.
After a few tests, the doctor confirmed that Riya had typhoid fever. Avni had never heard of the disease before and was worried about her friend’s health. The doctor explained that typhoid fever is a bacterial infection that spreads through contaminated food and water. It can cause a high fever, stomach pain, weakness, and other symptoms.
Riya was admitted to the hospital for treatment, and Avni visited her every day. She could see how much pain her friend was in, and it broke her heart. The doctors told them that Riya would need to stay in the hospital for at least a week, and they would have to monitor her closely to make sure she didn’t develop any complications.
Avni felt helpless. She wanted to do something to help her friend, but she didn’t know what to do. Then, one day, she had an idea. She decided to bring some of Riya’s favorite books and games to the hospital to keep her entertained.
Riya was happy to see her friend and excited to have something to do. They played games, watched movies, and talked about everything under the sun. Avni even brought her some of her favorite foods to help her regain her strength.
The doctors had started Riya on a course of antibiotics to fight the infection. They explained to her and her family that it was essential to complete the full course of treatment to ensure that the infection didn’t come back. They also told them to be careful about what they ate and drank and to practice good hygiene to avoid spreading the infection
Over the next few days, Riya’s condition started to improve. Her fever went down, and she was able to eat solid food again. She was still weak and tired, but she was grateful to have her friend by her side.
One day, the doctor came in to check on Riya and was pleased with her progress. He said that she could go home in a few days if everything continued to go well. He gave her a list of instructions on how to take care of herself and warned her to avoid any strenuous activity for a few weeks.
When Riya was finally discharged from the hospital, Avni helped her pack her things and took her home. She stayed with her friend for a few more days to make sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed.
As Riya continued her recovery at home, Avni visited her often. She helped her with her daily chores, cooked her meals, and kept her company. She also made sure that Riya didn’t forget to take her medication and follow the doctor’s instructions.
In a few weeks, Riya was back to her old self. She had regained her strength and energy, and they both went back to their normal routine. They resumed their summer vacation plans and went on several adventures together.
Avni was relieved that her friend had recovered, but she had also learned an important lesson about the importance of hygiene and taking care of oneself. She knew that she would always be there for her friend, no matter what.
